Historical Note: Munich's Hofbräuhaus played a role in German political history. Adolf Hitler announced the Nazi Party's 25-point program there on February 24, 1920, and was elected leader of the party at a meeting held in the beer hall on July 29, 1921. Today, the Hofbräuhaus is best known as one of Germany's most famous beer halls and a major tourist attraction.
